## **Three S.C. companies make next round of Walmart pitch event**
It may not have as many viewers as Shark Tank, but once [Walmart](https://www.walmart.com/) wraps up its Open Call pitch event, winners among the 900 small business competitors will have their products distributed across the company’s countrywide network of Sam’s Club and its titular supercenter brand. Three entrepreneurs among the 167 selected to move on to the next round hail from the Palmetto State: Greenville’s The Bandanna Co., Simpsonville’s Pace LLC and Holy Smoke LLC. Another 705 of the competitors from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico will receive further consideration following their pitch. Aspiring Walmart suppliers were required to make, grow or assemble their goods in the U.S. to compete.
“Open Call supports Walmart’s overall commitment to U.S. manufacturing and small businesses,” Laura Phillips, Walmart’s senior vice president of customer and business development as well as U.S. manufacturing for global sourcing, said in the release. “In March, Walmart announced an additional spend of $350 billion on items made, grown or assembled in the U.S. over the next 10 years. We also announced our American Lighthouses concept, which strives to accelerate progress on this commitment.”
Walmart’s Lighthouses are a plan to unite key stakeholders in specific regions of the country to identify and overcome top-down barriers to U.S. production, especially in the textile, metal, motor, food processing, plastics, pharmaceutical and medical supply fields. For Greenville’s [The Bandana Co](https://thebandannacompany.com/products/pet-triangles/)., the only large manufacturer of domestic-made bandanas, according to a news release, that means a chance to see their paw-printed Doggie Dannas on Walmart shelves across the country. The company has been in business since 1946. In addition to an increase in spending and support for small businesses and diverse suppliers, Walmart estimates the $350 commitment to U.S. suppliers facilitated by the event will support the creation of more than 750,000 new American jobs and stymy 100 million metric tons of CO2 emissions by sourcing closer to customers, according the release.
The company currently spends $1.6 billion with Palmetto State suppliers, indirectly supporting an estimated 22,000 jobs across the state, according to the release.

## Wholesale Terms & Conditions
### Terms
The first two orders must be credit card\*, or ACH. Net 30 terms available upon credit approval on third order. All new accounts must provide a copy of their current resale tax certificate and supply a credit sheet with at least 4 active credit references with fax numbers and the signed The Bandanna Company, a division of CAROLINA CREATIVE ENTERPRISES credit application and signed terms and conditions. No COD orders are accepted. Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue product. To maintain your account with terms annual sales for your account must be a minimum of $2,500.
\*Note: A 3% surcharge will be added to all credit card transactions.
### Minimum Order
New account opening orders are set at $250. Existing customers can place reorders at a minimum of $100. All new accounts must provide a copy of their current Resale Tax Certificate.
### Methods of Payment
We gladly accept the following methods of payment: Check, Money Order, Certified Check, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express or bank ACH. Should we find that we are unable to extend open credit terms, we may ask that your shipments be paid for Cash in Advance, prepaid by check or credit card\*.
\*Note: A 3% surcharge will be added to all credit card transactions.
### Freight Charges
Standard freight policy is F.O.B. Greenville, South Carolina. Merchandise will be shipped by the best and least expensive means. Freight costs will be prepaid and added to your invoice unless otherwise requested.
### Returns/Restocking Fee
Merchandise returns are subject to review and will be accepted by The Bandanna Company, a division of CAROLINA CREATIVE ENTERPRISES only with prior return authorization. Returns received without a Return Authorization (R.A.) form and R.A. number will be refused and returned to sender. All authorized returns must be shipped prepaid to us within 14 days of receipt of goods. We will charge a 20% restocking fee, as well as shipping costs for refused orders, and any unauthorized returns.
### Back Orders
Our goal is to have a fully-stocked warehouse, but due to the nature of importing, we cannot guarantee that every item will be in stock at all times. Items not in stock will automatically be back ordered and shipped as they become available, unless stipulated differently by the customer. Back orders below $50 will automatically cancel.
### Defective Merchandise
Any merchandise found to be defective shall be replaced at the discretion of The Bandanna Company, a division of CAROLINA CREATIVE ENTERPRISES. Request for returns of defective merchandise must be made within 30 days of invoice date and be accompanied by a copy of original invoice. Any request for a credit is subject to prior customer service approval.
### Order Changes & Cancellations
Order changes and cancellations must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by our customer service team. We require order changes and cancellations be made at least 7 days prior to the ship date. Changes to orders in progress will result in a $15 fee.
### Co-Op Advertising
The Bandanna Company, a division of CAROLINA CREATIVE ENTERPRISES, does not offer a cooperative advertising program.

**Environmentally Responsible Printing Processes**
CCE’s production is primarily based on rotary screen printing using water-based pigment systems, which represent approximately two-thirds of our output. Pigment printing is inherently more resource-efficient than traditional dyeing methods, as it does not require extensive post-wash processes, thereby reducing water and chemical consumption. Across all printing operations, we emphasize reuse of rotary screens and process optimization to reduce waste and improve throughput.
**Water Management and Wastewater Treatment**
Water stewardship is a key focus area for CCE. We actively monitor water usage on a monthly basis, tracking both intake and discharge to identify opportunities for conservation. All process wastewater is treated through our in-house system, including controlled holding and management prior to discharge into the municipal sewer system, in accordance with local requirements.
**Domestic Supply Chain and Materials Sourcing**
CCE prioritizes domestic sourcing to support transparency, reduce transportation impact, and strengthen U.S. manufacturing. Our primary fabric supplier, Hamrick Mills (South Carolina), provides a consistent, locally sourced textile base that aligns with these objectives.
**Energy and Operational Efficiency**
We pursue incremental improvements in energy efficiency across our operations. This includes ongoing conversion from fluorescent to LED lighting, as well as optimization of equipment usage. Our facility utilizes a combination of natural gas (for tenter frames and steam generation) and electricity for production processes, with continued evaluation of efficiency opportunities.
**Workplace Safety and Community Commitment**
CCE employs approximately 85 team members and maintains a structured monthly safety program to promote a safe and healthy working environment. We are committed to responsible employment practices and take pride in contributing to domestic manufacturing jobs in the Carolinas.

## The History of “Bandannas” – yes, the original correct spelling with two N’s!
The word bandanna comes from the Hindi bandhna, meaning “to tie.” Originating in India, early bandannas were made using tie-dye techniques and used for both decoration and protection.
By the 17th century, these colorful cloths reached Europe and later colonial America, where they became popular accessories. In the 19th century, they were widely used by cowboys in the American West. # ART REQUIREMENTS
FREE eProofs for the 1st & 2nd Revisions
$125 per hour charge for 3rd+ Revisions if required.
## ARTWORK
**Art charges:** Artwork that must be improved will incur an art charge per hour, with a minimum of one hour. Art charges of one hour or less will be invoiced and processed without distributor approval and no delay in production. **\*NOTE\*** – **Production cannot begin until all art issues/charges have been resolved and art has been approved by The Bandanna Company (TBC). A delay in providing useable artwork will affect your ship date.** Furthermore, Artwork will be sized to maximum imprint size unless specified.
## Art Requirements

## preferred – Vector art
**Vector Art** is created using software programs such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, InkScape, etc. Files should be saved in one of the following formats: .AI .EPS .PDF
**1)** Make sure lines and fonts in art meet minimum weight and size (see graphic below)
**2)** Convert all fonts to outlines.
**3)** Embed any linked files.
### Raster Images:
Note: Raster images placed in a vector file does not make them vector art and may require art time and incur art charges to fix.
**For color matching:** Please choose colors from the Pantone Solid Coated book in the color swatches pallet. (Excluding Metallics and Neons)
**For single-color raster designs:** Files should be saved in one of the following formats: .PSD .TIF
## rotary
**Rotary Inks:** Rotary inks are water-based and printed on white cloth. Imprints will not change color and color migration is not an issue. Flash drying is not required and there is no set up or screen charge for additional colors.
**Overs/Unders:** We reserve the right to ship up to 5% over or under the quantity ordered. On rotary press orders, exact quantities cannot be guaranteed. We will ship +/- 5%; on import orders we ship up to 10% over.
## IMPRINTS – Silkscreen
### Art Requirements
**Multi-color imprints:** We can print silkscreen imprints in up to six colors. Every color requires its own screen and running charge. **Note\*** – The minimum order for a multi-color imprint is 100 pieces.
**PMS color imprints:** Unless requested,exact color matching is not guaranteed. Colors will be matched as close as possible. A PMS color is guaranteed on white/natural bandanna only.

The Bandanna Company cannot assume responsibility with respect to the ownership of trademarks or corporate logos submitted for reproduction on our products. Logos reproduced in this catalog illustrate our imprinting capabilities only. Ownership of logos remains with individual corporations represented and our use does not imply endorsement or general availability of reproduction rights.
## 12 Standard Ink Colors
There is a mixing charge when exact PMS color matches are requested. Exact matches should be done on white or natural bandannas only and **will not be guaranteed** on colored bandannas.

TBC is committed to quality, not only in our products but in the service we provide. Due to the nature of fabric, we cannot guarantee against variances in the color, shade, texture, size, and construction of finished goods. Fabric colors may vary from one lot to the next. Exact matching of fabric colors on reorders or the degree of colorfastness cannot be guaranteed.
Similar colors of different materials & sizes may not be an exact match. Domestic colors and import colors are not the same.
